Maine Regulators to Start Proceedings for FairPoint/Consolidated Merger

It’s still early in the process, but Maine’s chief consumer agency for utility customers still wants to know how Illinois-based Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc. plans to operate rural telephone services in Maine should it win regulatory approval for its merger with FairPoint Communications.
