Congress Plans Broader Role for Security Reviews

In a rare bipartisan review, members of Congress are studying proposals that would expand the reach of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States that would likely add representation from additional federal agencies and allow CFIUS to probe deeper into M&A involving entities owned or partially owned by foreign governments.
