Alere Asks What Abbott Knew Prior to Merger Agreement

Alere called on a Delaware judge to adopt the recommendations of a court mediator and direct Abbott Labs to share premerger attorney notes and other materials about its acquisition of the Waltham, Mass., medical device maker, asserting the notes are critical to determining exactly what Abbott knew when it agreed to the deal.
